Romania's Main Exports are: Clothing and textiles, industrial machinery, electrical and electronic equipment, metallurgic products, raw materials, cars, military equipment, software, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals and agricultural products (fruits, vegetables and flowers).
Romania is a member of the European Union (Since 2007) and NATO (Since March 29, 2004) and the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank (Since 1972) and is a member of the World Trade Organization.
In December 2005, Romania and U.S.A. signed an agreement that would allow a U.S. Military presence at several Romanian facilities primarily in the eastern part of the country.
Favorite Sport in Romania: Football (Soccer) Popular sports include: Rugby, basketball, handball and gymnastics among others.
